INSURANCE COVERAGE

In addition to providing assistance with coverage decisions, we handle declaratory judgment actions including additional insured status, the scope of advertising and personal injury coverage, asbestos coverage, assault and battery exclusions, construction defect and faulty workmanship claims, contractual liability, environmental contamination, first party claims from arson to theft, indemnification issues, lost policies, molestation and abuse exclusions, what constitutes an "occurrence", pollution exclusions, public officials and police liability, and transportation and cargo claims.

AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY CLAIMS

We have successfully defended or settled a variety of automobile liability claims including claims arising out of: single and multi-vehicle accidents; intersectional collisions involving commercial and school buses; and commercial trucking accidents including truck visibility, driver fatigue and compliance with ICC regulations. We handle claims for Personal Injury Protection Benefits and defend Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Claims.

GENERAL LIABILITY CLAIMS

We have successfully defended or settled a variety of general liability and premises liability claims in New Jersey and Pennsylvania including: athletic and sporting events claims ranging from discrimination to negligent supervision and player injuries; construction site accidents; concert venues including claims based on failure to provide security, improper lighting, improper maintenance; contractual liability; and school district liability including allegations of improper supervision, improper discipline and facility maintenance. In addition, we routinely defend product liability claims.

PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY CLAIMS

We successfully defend claims against: architects and engineers including claims arising out of building collapses and defectively designed parking lots; specialists in the dental profession for claims arising from negligent extractions, improper care after surgery, defective capping of teeth and informed consent; physicians and surgeons including psychiatrists; and realtors involving breach of contract, misrepresentation, and fraud.

EMPLOYMENT LIABILITY

We have successfully defended age, race and sex discrimination claims in Federal Court and before the PHRC and EEOC.

ENVIRONMENTAL CLAIMS

We are counsel for several Principal PRP's at Superfund sites with estimated multi-million dollar cleanups. We have pursued cost recovery/contribution actions against other PRPs. We have participated in resolutions involving Deed Restrictions and other alternative remedies.

TOXIC TORT CLAIMS

We have successfully defended or settled various toxic tort claims including asbestos bodily injury and property damage claims; chemical exposure cases ranging from chemical sensitivity to formaldehyde in carbonless paper, UFFI and preserved specimens to benzene in wells. We acted as national coordinating counsel for claims asserted against certain DES manufacturers, including coverage litigation for defense and indemnity.
